Healing Through Acupuncture

In addition to my work as a writer, poet, and artist, I have been a licensed acupuncturist for nearly two decades. My approach to healing is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and shaped by a lifelong interest in the relationship between body, mind, and spirit. Whether through writing, visual art, or acupuncture, I am drawn to helping people reconnect with themselves and discover greater resilience, balance, and well-being.

I earned dual master’s degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, California, completing one of the nation’s most rigorous programs with 191 academic units and more than 3,300 hours of clinical and classroom training. I am board certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and have additional training in Five Element Acupuncture, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Pranic Healing, and Reiki. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Coming from a family with thirteen generations of physicians and medical practitioners, healing has long been part of my heritage. My work integrates evidence-informed Traditional Chinese Medicine with compassionate, individualized care, supporting patients with pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive concerns, women’s health, and a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Healing and creativity have always been interconnected in my life. Whether through poems, stories, visual art, or acupuncture, I am interested in what helps us make meaning of our experiences, reconnect with ourselves, and find the possibility of transformation.
